BBC iPlayer availability is controlled by the BBC and depends on current location, account, device and TV Licence requirements. A VPN can protect traffic to the VPN server and change the public IP address, but it cannot guarantee playback or make an ineligible session eligible. Check the BBC iPlayer help centre and terms before troubleshooting.

First confirm BBC iPlayer works without the VPN and that your account, device, time settings and app are current. Then reconnect once, try an available nearby UK route, and retest. Repeated switching is unlikely to solve an account, licence or provider-side outage.
If the problem is a stale or mismatched public IP, reconnecting to another available UK route may change the result. Speed and availability still depend on your base connection and BBC's current detection and service rules.

Step 1: Select the service of your choice from the dropdown list
Step 2: In one click, connect to VPN UK
Step 3: Once connected, open the selected website/app and start streaming
VPN UK does not come with a BBC iPlayer subscription. In order to use BBC iPlayer, you must meet the BBC's current account, UK-location and TV Licence requirements. VPN UK does not include BBC iPlayer.
While using a VPN you might feel a slight change in speed however the app adds routing and encryption overhead. Compare the same programme and network with and without the VPN.
A VPN can protect the connection to the VPN server and change the public IP address. It cannot override BBC eligibility, TV Licence, location, account, or terms requirements.
